Osceola County's Central Florida bike trails serve their towns for commuting and linking neighborhoods, with Celebration serving as a model for neighborhood trail development. The 1-mile trail at Kissimmee Lakefront Park (which now also connects to an evolving section of the Shingle Creek Trail) and 2-mile trail at St. Cloud Lakefront Park offer very nice scenery and a safe place for kids to ride. The Kissimmee Loop Trail is a 7 mile rectangle (some sidewalk) that connects to the Shingle Creek Regional Trail. Other trails - Neptune Road Recreational Pathway and Pleasant Hill Road Recreational Pathway - generally follow roads linking businesses, schools, and residential areas. Shingle Creek Trail (under construction) when completed will run 32 miles from Kissimmee to Orlando, eventually linking to the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail - we currently list it as a "Neighborhood" trail, but when complete anticipate it will become a "Destination" for cyclists.
